Why the right cut matters

Healthy plants, tidy and safe grounds

Healthy growth

With dry and excess wood removed, the plant puts its energy into healthy growth and yield.

Safety

Dry or overgrown branches above paths, roofs and wires are a risk that pruning removes.

A tidy look

Shaped hedges and well-kept crowns give the grounds a neat, cared-for appearance.

When to prune

Every plant has its season

Fruit trees are most often pruned during dormancy in late winter or early spring, and some species also in summer. Hedges are trimmed several times a season, and ornamental shrubs according to their flowering time. Since the right timing depends on the species, the weather and the plant's condition, we agree it when you enquire.

FAQ

Pruning — questions

When is the right time to prune fruit trees?

Most often during dormancy — late winter or early spring, before growth starts. Some species and pruning goals (e.g. calming vigorous growth) suit a summer cut better. We agree the timing for your trees based on species and condition.

What do you do with the cut branches?

Branch and green waste handling is agreed up front — depending on the quantity and the options at your location.

Do you also prune taller trees?

Describe the tree and send a photo. Based on the height, access and condition we will tell you whether we can do the work safely, and prepare a quote.

Trees or a hedge waiting for a trim?

Send photos of the plants — we will recommend the timing and prepare a quote.
